An OTT streaming app for KCWX-TV, delivering live television broadcasts and video-on-demand content to mobile devices and smart TVs.
The Challenge
Achieving low-latency live streaming, supporting smooth adaptive bitrate switching under varying network conditions, and building a consistent layout for TVs and mobile.
The Solution
Built a unified Flutter codebase optimized for both handheld touch interfaces and TV directional pad controls. Utilized AWS MediaPackage for packaging HLS streams with DRM protection.
The Outcome
Expanded KCWX's digital reach by 40% in the first quarter of release. Maintained a 99.98% stream availability during peak broadcasting hours.
